SOSVA’s primary sources of funding are Government funds. In addition, we also receive some donations from private donors.
Government Funding for the Last Year as Mother NGO.
We got grants from Punjab Government for the year 2024-25 as under:
- RCH Department of Health & Family Welfare Rs. 25 lakh.
- Women & Child Development and Drug De-Addiction Programmes. The Department of Social Security Women & Child Development, Punjab 179 lakhs.
We have got approval out of budget grant for the year 2024-25 as per detail below:

Government Funding for the Last Year as Field NGO
Funding for the Year 2025-26 as NGO:
Punjab State AIDS Control Society: The Society has sanctioned the following two projects at Phagwara, Distt Kapurthala:
- A composite targeted intervention project for commercial sex workers (CSW) and males having sex with males (MSM) with a grant of Rs. 24,20,440/-
- Project for injecting drug users (IDUs) with a grant of Rs. 26,51,912/-
Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society: The Society has sanctioned a Targeted Intervention Project for injecting drug users (IDUs) as per following details:-
- IDU TI Projects: Rs. 4021800/-
- (i) OST Centre at sector 56, Chandigarh: Rs.5,73,900/-
(ii) OST Centre at Dadu Majra, Chandigarh: Rs.5,73,900/-
MISSION
Empowerment of poor women by imparting skills for supplementing family income; improvement in health status of pregnant women, lactating mothers, young children, adolescent girls and elderly; reduction in maternal and infant mortality; nutrition and pre-school education to children from poor families; awareness against drug addiction; Prevention of HIV/AIDS among High Risk groups and improving the learning levels of weak students at primary level.
